Carved from solid oak and finished with a dark stain in the late-nineteenth century, this stunning pair of armchairs features carved cresting rails, open backs with a single spindle design, and flat arms on turned arm supports. Raised on turned forelegs with ball feet and block rear legs, the chairs have a seat height of 19 inches. Condition: Consistent with age and use. Chip on one seat. Missing one stretcher. See photos.
