French Louis XV Walnut Fauteuil Needlepoint Armchair

The luxurious craftsmanship of walnut coupled with the artistic detail of needlepoint come together to create this exquisite armchair.  A rose background with lovely floral patterns on the chair's back, seat, and manchettes is complemented by floral carvings on the chair's cresting rail, seat rail, and knees. The chair is raised on cabriole front legs and saber back legs, which extend a slight curve into the stiles, creating a comfortable backrest. Seat height is 16.5 inches.
