Louis XV Carved Oak Needlepoint Chair

This beautiful Louis XV chair showcases a floral motif in its carved frame and needlepoint design. The arched crest is adorned with a ruffled ribbon with opposing stems of roses cascading along the arch. Scroll work and acanthus leaves are featured on the sides and apron. Additional flowers are carved on the blocks of the fluted legs. A curved X stretcher with a decorative finial at the center unites the legs. The floral needlepoint upholstery is secured to the chair with brass upholstery pins. Seat height is 18.5 inches. Condition: Consistent with age and use. Wear to upholstery. See photos.
