Nightstand with Marble Top and Corner Shelf

This beautiful nightstand dates back to the years when a nightstand's purpose was to provided storage for a chamber pot near a bed. The single door opens to a fitted  liner, providing an interior that was easy to clean. A top corner shelf is carved with foliage over the top surface, which is inset with marble. Storage for small items is provided in the drawer above the door. The nightstand is raised on fluted legs united by a lower shelf. Condition: Consistent with age and use. Repair to corner shelf.
