At 100mm underfoot, the Backland 100 is the narrowest of Atomic’s Backland FR lineup and offers, perhaps, the most versatile ride of the three. Capable of performing in the widest range of snow conditions, the Backland 100 feels a bit more like an all-mountain ski with a construction so lightweight, it excels when climbing uphill. Built using a locally sourced poplar core with two fiberglass laminates and a carbon backbone, the Backland 100 shaves out excessive material to reduce both weight and carbon emissions.
