The smaller version for smaller skiers and riders, the Kids’ Hood has the latest in balaclava design: the hinged mouth. This is one of those design features that took a new generation to consider. Previously, even fabric constructed, sewn constructed, balaclavas were based on the time immoral knit balaclava. The knit design was, of course, constructed in the round, with a space left for the eyes to peep through. So simple to make, thousands of these things were knit for soldiers in WWI, WWII, and even for the war in Afghanistan.
