AVENGERS Edition of 50 each The Avenger Series: Where Art Meets Heroism and Purpose In 2018, actor Chris Evans (Captain America) commissioned artist William Quigley to create a 7-foot Avengers-themed painting inspired by a 1973 Marvel comic book cover. Intended as a personal gift for Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), the piece captures the spirit of heroism embodied by the Marvel icons—and reflects the deep, real-life friendship between the two actors. In 2024, Quigley completed a second painting in the Avenger series. That year, Robert Downey Jr. visited the home of Aaron Hunter, a young boy living with the rare and life-threatening disease ROHHAD. There, Downey honored Aaron by naming him Captain Braveheart, a symbolic gesture that transformed Aaron into a real-life Avenger. The ROHHAD Association, which Downey actively supports, was the inspiration behind the piece.
