A lifelong sports fan from Philadelphia, Quigley resonated with the city’s passionate, hardworking spirit, reflected in legendary athletes such as Carl Yastrzemski, Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Tom Brady, Bobby Orr, and Ted Williams. This iconic portrait of Williams has been exhibited in Boston, including paintings of iconic figures such as Ted Williams alongside other portraits like Nat King Cole and Jack Johnson. In a featured show benefiting The Price Center, several of Quigley's abstract paintings—including his portrait of Ted Williams—were on display, reflecting both his cultural reach and local ties to Boston sports history.
