I wrote this song on my way out of a bad bout of depression. I was anxious all the time, drinking way too much, not eating. I was distant from my family. And I thought I was keeping it together! But that was only the beginning… I started seeing a therapist, and was starting to make some progress. But then on a trip out of the country, I had a bad accident, and I shattered my wrist in 9 places. That’s when I really fell apart. I was drowning. But I kept going to therapy, even when I didn't want to. I needed healing for both my hand and my head...If I couldn't play guitar to write music anymore, at least I could write music on a keyboard. And that became its own therapy..."
