Yes it will certainly work with other tables, even some belt-driven. Our in-depth testing determined no effect on speed or accuracy, which was not surprising considering how much torque Technics direct-drive tables have. Total mass is high enough to help press a slightly wrapped record flat.   We also consulted with the engineers at Technics as to what the correct target weight would should be and we are spot on.   Drops into place with no effort and provides a snug fit with no wobble or play.  New version now has a machined logo (engraved) just like the one on the top of the SL1200G.  Looks gorgeous as the finish matches the top of the SL1200G and SL1300G brass platter.  Lacquered protective matte finish ensures it will not tarnish and will always look clean.  Weights in at 750g which is 1.65 lbs. This product is not directly produced by Technics, but rather specifically designed and customized by SkyFi.
