Burnt Umber Dark
A natural earth pigment that is lightfast and semi-transparent with slight texture. Umbers are brown or reddish-brown natural earth colors. This pigment consist of iron oxide and manganese oxide and in it's natural form is raw umber. After the pigment is heated, the color becomes darker and richer, transforming into burnt umber. All of CFM watercolors are handmade in their shop using the highest quality earth and synthetic pigments, plus natural watercolor binding medium made from gum arabic (sap from acacia trees), honey, glycerine, distilled water, and a dash of clove oil for freshness! Half Pans contain around 2ml of paint and are approximately 3/4" x 1/2" x 3/8" deep. Color Index number as provided by vendor: PBr 7. All CFM watercolors conform to ASTM D-4236.
