Deer Isle Hanging Wind Chime

Richard Fisher has been making bells in his Mid Coast Maine studio since the 1970s. Inspired by the idea of making a sculpture that combines wind motion, and sound, each bell is sand cast in bronze.  One of their most mellow and peaceful bells, the soft tone is generated by an African Mahogany wooden clapper.  It may be hung with twine or mounted on the 7" bracket, which is part of the collection. Made with the traditional sand cast bronze process, the bell rings with an incredibly clear tone. The simplistic time-honored design offers an inspiring connection with nature.
