Demijohn Bowl, Copper Foil Edge

Our Demijohn Bowls are a handcrafted, time-honored design produced in Hungary. Demijohn bowls are made from the bottom of antique demijohns, which are a storage vessel used for wine and spirits. They are made from European recycled glass and have a hand-applied gold foil rim. Artisans hand-apply gold foil to the bowl’s rim for a finished look and to protect against sharp edges. Many jugs are sacrificed during this delicate cutting process. Size and color vary piece to piece.
