This detailed die-cast medal is made in the region of Italy that produces the finest quality medals in the world.  He is the patron saint of prisoners, families, the pro-life movement, and drug addicts; invoked against drug addiction. Maximilian Maria Kolbe, O.F.M. Conv. was a Polish Conventual Franciscan friar, who volunteered to die in place of a stranger in the German death camp of Auschwitz, located in German-occupied Poland during World War II.
