Suminagashi, which translates to "floating ink," is a wonderfully meditative, free-flowing process where ink is manipulated on water with brushes, fans, or even one's breath to create beautiful patterns that are transferred onto paper.[ Watch Brenda using this technique on Instagram ] It's the perfect craft for lovers of color, pattern, and decorative paper, or for anyone who wants to try making something beautiful through a very simple, enjoyable process.
