This aeration system uses a shore-mounted air compressor to pump air/oxygen through a hose and to a specially-crafted diffuser resting on the pond floor. The bottom is where oxygen is most needed, hence it's an ideal place to deliver it. Furthermore, rising bubbles increase circulation and can work as a de-icer in northern climates. As the bubbles ascend, they produce a boiling action which generates circulation throughout the pond, thus preventing stratification and fostering a stable ecosystem. The surface area a single aeration system can cover well depends on depth & shape. For narrow, elongated ponds, multiple diffusers may be needed for complete aeration. Ponds with circular, oval, or square shapes of one acre or less usually require one central diffuser. This model is designed to perform 24-hour operations for perfect pond aeration without any electricity in the water. A shore-mount compressor sends air through tubing for a secure way to aerate via a bottom-mount diffuser.
