Introduction to Woodworking: Box construction
Days: WednesdaysDates: October 9, 2024 - November 20, 2023Times: 6:00pm - 8:30pm Cost: $240 for 7 sessionsInstructor: Tom Sippel, Smith Vocational Woodshop Instructor This is a six-week introductory course which is designed to introduce students to the fundamental principles, tools and techniques of woodworking. We will use box construction as the basis for exploring these new skills. This course is for beginners or those who need to refresh their woodworking knowledge. The safe and efficient use of both hand tools and power tools will be taught. Principles taught include milling, gluing, sanding, joinery methods, and finishing. Students will construct four different style boxes in the course of seven weeks. Materials will be provided.
