Love in a Puff

Cardiospermum halicacabum Also known as the Balloon Vine, Love-in-a-Puff is a whimsical fast-growing annual vine. It begins with tiny white flowers and transforms into balloon-like seed pods. Their seeds even appear to have tiny white hearts on them! Like most vines, Love-in-a-Puff will require a trellis or fence to do its climbing. It can grow up to 10 feet in height. It will self-seed. Originating in the Caribbean on such islands as Puerto Rico and the American Virgin Islands, it has since found its way to various parts of Africa, South America, New Zealand and Australia.
