Full-Body Malt with Toasty, Biscuity Sweetness Briess Ashburne® Mild Malt is a high-color base malt that offers a unique combination of fermentability and full malt flavor. Kilned to approximately 5.3° Lovibond, it contributes rich, malty sweetness along with bready, biscuit-like undertones and a subtle toasted character. This makes it an ideal base for a wide range of styles that benefit from more malt expression than standard pale malts provide. With a higher protein content and strong diastatic power, Ashburne® Mild Malt supports complete mash conversion and can be used as a full base malt. It's perfect for English milds, brown ales, porters, and amber ales, or as a malt-enhancing addition to cream ales and hybrids.
