Light Loves bright, indirect light—think morning sun or a few feet away from a bright window. No direct sun, please! It can scorch those gorgeous leaves. Watering Keep the soil consistently moist, but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. These plants are a bit dramatic about dry soil (they’ll curl their leaves to show displeasure ). Use filtered or distilled water if you can—Calatheas are super sensitive to fluoride and chlorine in tap water.  Humidity This plant is a humidity queen—aim for 50%+ humidity. Use a humidifier, pebble tray, or group it with other plants to boost moisture in the air. Misting can help, but not as much as consistent humidity.  Temperature Prefers it cozy: 65–80°F (18–27°C). N
