Mitchell Davis
Mitchell Davis studies diverse jutsu with Nami Ryuu Aiki Heihou and trains in Baguazhang under Stephen Bao Sifu. He also teaches weapons and martial arts, primarily within the Italian HEMA tradition, at Iron Gate Swordfighting in Fresno. His specialization lies in the sword in two hands as taught by Fiore, Vadi, and the Bolognese masters. In the previous year, Mitchell earned a gold medal at DEMAS’ longsword tournament through his interpretation of Fiore’s Master of Gioco Largo and has since won several additional gold and silver medals across various weapon categories, including Abrazare. His deep passion for swordsmanship and martial arts has inspired a shift in career path, leading him to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Fresno State, with plans to continue toward a Doctorate in Physiotherapy. He is also completing a textbook on the sword in two hands, featuring new translations and original interpretations based on the teachings of Fiore, Vadi, and Marozzo. More th
