Sibling baby quilt #2 - beach

Approximately 35 x 45 inches Since I made this quilt in tandem with another quilt of the same size, I'm calling them SIBLINGS! This one is the breezier of the two quilts. Both feature a calming palette that reminds me of seashells, sand, blue sky, sun umbrellas and foam. Sounds like a perfect day at the beach to me! Cut from a mix 100% natural fabrics including Japanese cotton, cotton linen blend, and European linen. The filling is 100% cotton with no artificial binders or fillers. The backing is a geometric print fabric (see image).  The quilt was made from start to finish in my Los Angeles, CA studio. I cut and assemble all the pieces, machine quilt the quilt sandwich together, and finish the edges with a durable double fold bias binding. Finally the quilt is washed for extra softness. This size is perfect for use as a baby blanket, to provide cushion for tummy time, or as a comfort object (the texture is just that satisfying to the touch!).
