Pain & Beauty
A 1920's inspired drawing made of charcoal and carbon on paper (18" x 24") carries out the emotions of an intricate, beautiful, yet an ambiguously featured woman, sitting outside, bare, and distressing her repressed pain through a smoke from her cabriole. In this moment, she is met with the truth to her confusion and discomfort -- her man and another woman. Over the course of her confusion her heart had already been slowly shattering. Surprised but not shocked to what she has discovered, but her wisdom and inner strength have already prepared her to be so fully connected with her power and her worth that nothing or no one could come in between to destroy her essence. After all her beauty, her sexiness fuels off of her inner love, respect, and worthiness within.
