The region of Fleurie is, historically speaking, a showcase for the more "feminine" style of Gamay. Yeah, I don't know what that means, either. Having tasted many a Fleurie, though, we would say that it is a gentle, kind, giving, loving, nurturing, and sexy place to grow this varietal. The proof is in the bottle. It's truly wonderful stuff. Fruit-driven, soft, and goes with everything.
