The 2016 Gene is a blend of 50% Malbec with 20% each Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc plus 10% Merlot from Gualtallary that aims to show the gentler side of the appellation, fresh with a soft texture. Medium nose shows red plum, black cherry, baking spice, violets, light earth. Palate gives bigger style, more black fruit, blackberry, black plum, white pepper, espresso.
