92 Points Gilman: The Morgon “la Voûte Saint-Vincent” from the Desvignes family is produced from the lieu à dit of Douby, which is situated in the northeastern corner of the commune. These vines are forty-five years of age and planted on sandy soils of decomposed granite. The wine is fifty percent whole clusters and fermented semi-carbonically and aged in cement vats. The 2020 tips the scales at an even thirteen percent and offers up lovely precision in its youthful bouquet of cherries, sweet cranberries, a hint of blood orange, a lovely base of soil, gamebird, peonies and just a hint of thyme in the upper register. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and tangy, with a lovely core of red fruit, good soil undertow, moderate tannins and a long, vibrant and nascently complex finish. Structurally, this is already quite approachable, but the wine is still quite primary in personality and more complexity will emerge with a modicum of bottle age and I would give it the time
