The 2017 vintage shows the vineyard’s complexity in full focus. There’s red fruit from the Pinot, citrus and salt from the Chardonnay, and an underlying chalky structure that anchors everything. Fermentation in oak gives the wine breadth without overt oakiness, and the absence of dosage sharpens the edges, leaving behind a wine that feels both grounded and lifted. Les Blanchiens is a mono-cru in Mareuil. This wine is an equal blend of pinot noir and chardonnay, fermented separately in used barriques.
