Jean Foillard took over his father's domaine in 1980 and is an essential producer for the region. He was instrumental in increasing the quality of Beaujolais overall and was included in Kermit Lynch’s Gang of 4 producers. All vines are organic, hand-harvested, and unfiltered with no sulphur addition during vinification. The 'Fleurie' is made from 20-70 year old vines grown in pink sandstone soil with a traditional 100% whole cluster fermentation.
