The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, chalky tannin, tightly wound with a strict, saline finish that leaves the mouth tingling long after it has departed. This is a classy, quite sophisticated Echezeaux in the making, one that should be at the upper end of my banded score with requisite bottle age. (NM)" 93.5 points Vinous, "Medium red. Alluring perfume of blueberry, dried rose, white pepper and leather, lifted by a minty high note. Plush and dense but vibrant too, with the flavors of berries and earth complicated by exotic spices. Fleshy and saline but I also find more energy here than in the young 2015. Finishes youthful and long, with excellent sappy grip. Superb. (ST)"
