This selection made a previous SommSelect Blind 6 for its textbook markers for an Italian Pinot Grigio. Think Alsatian Pinot Gris without any residual sweetness: deep flavors of yellow/green apple, pear, white flowers, wet stones. A hint of saline minerality interplays with the subtle fruit notes brilliantly for this value darling. Unoaked, but aged on its lees in oak for a few months to land that creaminess on the back end of the palate.
