Rheinhessen is the largest wine region in Germany, but fordecades the area was synonymous with bulk-production Liebraumilch. His family’sholdings mostly went into sparkling production, but Daniel Wagner has been an influential player in the Rheinhessen's quality revolution. Today, the region’s wines are on par with that of the Mosel.This Gutswein bottling (the estate's entry-level wine) punches way above its weight.
