Constant cognitive activity is an inherent part of our daily experience; our minds are continuously engaged in thoughtful reflection upon awakening. Even during rest, our subconscious processes generate a range of mental imagery, from pleasant dreams to unsettling thoughts. This ongoing mental dialogue persists until we intentionally disengage, at which point mental activity subsides, resulting in a state of stillness.
