"Sampler" in fiber arts has a specific meaning which is often lost on people who think it's just a visual style; but a sampler was originally intended as a reference piece when people mostly didn't have regular access to things like printed patterns or pattern books; stitchers (let's be honest; mostly young women) would make a sampler with all the stitches they knew how to use and an alphabet (or two) to be used later as a pattern for future projects.  Consequently, a true sampler will almost always include the entire alphabet, sometimes also a phrase or poem.  This sampler adheres to the true tradition of cross stitch samplers, with both an upper case and lower case font, surrounded by iconography familiar to geeks of all ages, from Star Trek to Star Wars to Pokemon to Space Invaders to Doctor Who.  My mockup is shown to scale on 14ct aida in an 8x10 frame.
