Come Together

Watercolor and ink. The hands in this watercolor painting represent a Native American symbol for "peace". My grandmother taught on the Tohono O’odham reservation in Arizona during the 1970's. She would visit us in Maine and introduce us to many of the traditions and art making practices. She would tell me stories of what felt like at the time, a far away land.
