Slate is one of the most durable, naturally occurring stones that is readily available. A distinctive natural surface for serving cheeses, charcuterie & hors d'oeuvres. Sourced from a quarry in upstate New York, each rustic yet sophisticated cheese board comes with a natural burlap bag and soapstone chalk for writing on your board. The round slate board measures 11.5" in diameter with a smooth edge finish and anti-slip padded feed. Dimensions: 11.5 inch diameter Care Instructions: Each slate board is treated and sealed to be food safe. Soapstone, chalk, crumbs, and liquids wipe off easily with a damp sponge or towel. Our cheese boards can also be washed with a sponge and dish soap. Boards that do not have cork feet on the bottom are dishwasher safe. To achieve a natural, rustic look, we use cutting tools that, over time, may lead to chipping along the edges of our slate goods.
