Thessaloniki, the birthplace of my father. This city is the most Byzantine of any city in Greece, and was once the capitol of the Roman Emperor Galerius. He built this grand walkway in 305 CE in celebration of victory abroad- he and his Empress would have walked in triumph to his rotunda and through his arch.
