Flowers on the Table: mother of pearl inlay, aquamarine mosaic earring

I was photographing a magnificent flower. I pulled it towards me, and it fell. I was heartbroken, until my darling friend suggested we put it in water. The flower was on our table at every meal for the rest of our stay.  Sometimes, we draw something closer to us, and it slips through our fingers.
