Darling Sophanista, welcome to Wanderlust Spain. Iglesia de Santos Martires, Málaga: my first morning in Spain, I aimed to wander the streets of the Old City without any real direction in mind. I found a lovely cafe with a gazillion sausages hanging out front, because, why NOT. While sitting for breakfast, a GIANT door beckoned me to go in to the opposite building- I kind of felt like Alice in Wonderland. Upon entering, I was enveloped in silence- I was in a hundreds year old cathedral, and in the perimeter were different depictions of  Virgens- they were each about 7 or 8 feet tall... I was especially drawn to one that was adorned with ALL sorts of regalia in gold and pearls, and surrounded by pink flowers.  A gentleman in front of her was taking a video. I waited. And waited.
