1950s Lace TopBlack Silk/ Evening Dress with Train 10/12

The late 1950s saw a straighter skirt, gone are the full skirts with crinolines underneath. Black Chantilly Lace  is put over cream silk. The bust line has a half sweetheart neckline with a large pleat. Spaghetti straps hold the dress up. The bodice is lower in the back. The straight skirt  has 2 pockets at the waist which are incorporated in the design, they are  squared off at the waist a smart design. There is a triangular train in the back to add drama. What is nice about this dress is that it a not a petit size and the original owner was tall. Measures as  follows Shoulders 16, Armhole 10, Bust 38, Waist  29, Hips 40, Length  62 Good to excellent condition-some  marks in the black silk  and the hem has some marks and is not perfect   Serving Vintage Clothing lovers in Fairfield County, Westchester County, New York, Manhatten  and New Jersey for over 43 years!
