After graduating from Pratt Adele Simpson started her career in New York at the ready to wear companies. She eventually bought out Mary Lee Company in 1949 and changed it to her name. She dressed many celebrities and First Ladies including Pat Nikon’s wardrobe she wore to China in 1972. Adele got her inspiration from ethic textiles and this dress is a great example. Based on Indian Sari Fabric, the dress design is simple to show off the fabric. Round collar and raglan sleeves are a common style in the mid to late 70s. Loose fitted bodice flairs to a wide skirt. Zips up the back for closure.  Measures as follows Shoulders 15, Sleeves 24, Armhole 8, Bust 36, Waist 28, Hips 38 Length 54 Excellent condition
