1980s Sonia Rykiel Red Wool 3 Piece Ensemble Size 6

Sonia Rykiel was known as the queen of knits. She went into the fashion business out of necessity. She was pregnant and couldn’t find anything fashionable to wear.  The oversized top  buttons down the front with workable pockets. The ties at the neck are wide and are tied  off center. Sloping shoulders and fitted sleeves are a fashion characteristic of the 80s. The scarf is robes in texture and  has fringe on the end. The pants have an elastic waist  and are full to the ankle where they come in and are buttoned on the side. This ensemble is a great example of Sonia’s work as well as the blue  one also listed. Measures as follows Shoulders 15, Sleeves 23, Armhole 8 Bust up to 40, Waist of Pants up to 28, hips up to 38 Length of Top 31, length of pants 39  scarf 82 Excellent condition
