Intro to Sewing Stretch Curves

ONLINE WORKSHOP 4-5 weeks - 3-6 PM Central Time. 3 hrs per week, 12-15 hrs total classtime Saturday, November 1, 8, 15, 22, optional week 29 Learn to sew curved stretch seams with skill and precision! In this workshop, students will learn the basics of cutting, handling, and sewing stretch fabric, then move through a series of curved seams, starting with simple arcs and progressing to complex multi-directional shapes and insertions.  We will use a serger and sewing machine to construct and finish seams. A serger is not required. Our exploration of shapes will create a surface design sampler which may be framed, applied to a garment or bag, or used as fabric for a future project.  Open to all skill levels! Basic familiarity with a sewing machine required. No stretch sewing experience necessary, appreciation of beautiful seams is heartily welcome.
