“Money Pit” 6in (150mm) Tsuchime Damascus petty knife. A flurry of densely-packed strands of shredded cash rises through the heights of the incredibly resilient polyresin handle, like a blizzard of money that spans the horizon. In the clear of the handle where the shreds open up, a bare skull with a dark glare gazes blankly beyond the transparent bounds of the wa-style handle. Capping off this magnificent work is a hammered tsuchime blade, marked with the dimples of quality craftsmanship. Includes the sleek walnut saya shown. The blade is made from VG10 core hardened to 60 HRC. Multiple layers of stainless are forged on both sides of the blade that protect the core and result in the Damascus layer pattern. VG10 is a high hardness stainless that doesn’t require the maintenance or care of a carbon steel. VG10 blades should be sharpened with a water stone, synthetic stone, or diamond.
