It has been highly effective in suppressing citrus root weevil. This beneficial nematode was originally discovered in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, is adapted to warm soils and is more tolerant of tilled soils than other nematode species. It can still effectively kill pests in soil temperatures above 95°F and also infect as low as 59°F.
