Recessed steel backbox (6.25 in. square, 4 in. deep, .090 cu.ft. volume) features side knockouts and an undercoating with sound deadener. Corner mounting tabs with 8-32 U-clips for grille installation. Side slots for depth adjustment in uneven surfaces or to attach channel rails when installed in suspended tile ceilings.
