Ephesians 2:8-10, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Praise God for this truth! That we have been saved not by our own efforts or works, but by His mercy and grace. While we were born under the curse of Sin through Adam, God made a way for us to come back into union with Him, and be made right before His eyes. When you receive Christ, by faith, and therefore repent of your old self and sinful ways, you also receive the Holy Spirit, who gives you a new heart, new desires, and enables you to walk in righteousness and in relationship with God.
