CROSS TEE

Luke 9:23, "Then He said to them all, 'If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.'” While death on a cross was understood as a cursed way to die (Deut. 21:23), Jesus Christ humbled Himself and bore the curse of death and wrath of God on a tree so that those who believe in Him would not perish but have eternal life (John 3:15). When you wear the cross, it is not simply a symbol of the death of Christ, but of the victory that Christ achieved over sin and death. Christ is King, He is seated at the right hand of the Father ruling over all. When we pick up our cross, we submit to the humble way of Christ, and therefore the likelihood of suffering in this life. However, be not distressed, as through the cross, you also have been given Christ's victory over sin and death, and eternal life!
