This is the USB-C port controller IC used in some (but not all) MacBook and MacBook Pro laptops. This IC is usually identified as CD3215A and U3100 in schematic diagrams and board view software. Be aware that some devices use CD3215A and U3100 to refer to a different IC manufactured by Texas Instruments that is not compatible with this chip.
