Gold-filled findings have an actual layer of 14K gold and are considered of greater value and quality over "Gold plated" items. "Gold Plated" items have a microscopic layer of gold that can be easily scrapped and damaged. 14/20 Yellow gold-filled materials are a wonderful, cost-effective option to its sister, 14K gold. Although Gold-Filled is not new, there is renewed interest in the material due to the high cost of precious metals.
