Capsicum annuum Many consider Jupiter to be the best red bell pepper variety out there, with huge, thick-walled fruits that are perfect for stuffing and roasting, or just eating fresh. Its abundant yields are protected from sunscald by the thick canopy provided by extra-sturdy 3-4 foot tall plants. Strong resistance to Tobacco Mosaic Virus makes Jupiter an upgrade over the old classic, “Big Red.”Start these seeds indoors 4 to 6 weeks before your last frost date, and transplant out after all danger of frost has passed. Choose a location with full sun and well-draining soil. Peppers will start to ripen from green to red about 75 days after transplanting. 0.25 gram packet contains a minimum of 25 seeds.
